Format :

Two separate 7 Round Swiss tournaments for women and girls – an Open Championship and Reserve (Under 1300 rating.) Players under 1300 can choose to play in either tournament. (NZCF standard rating, or Rapid if there is no standard).
The tournaments will be NZCF and FIDE rated where possible.


Time Control:

90 minutes each plus 30 seconds a move from the start.

Open Championship $70
Reserve Championship $50
Family discount – $10 per family member living at same address

The winner of the Championship will hold the Mabel Abbott Queen Trophy for the year. The winners of the Championship and the Reserve will receive miniatures. There will also be some book prizes.
